The Smartrack S5 D-iD is an insurance S5 approved vehicle tracking system that uses a revolutionary mobile app Driver Recognition System instead of ID tags.
Manual Mode
When set in manual mode and you drive the vehicle, an alert will be sent via a push message to your mobile device. If you are driving the vehicle no action needs to be taken. If there is a security issue with your vehicle, you must contact the Global Telemetrics Control Centre by calling them or contacting them directly from the app. Simply open the notification, press SOS and you will be immediately put in touch with a member of the Stolen Vehicle Recovery team.
Automatic Mode
Before driving, ensure you open the app to the home screen This allows the verification process to begin between your mobile device and the system fitted to your vehicle. The system will generate an alert if the app is not active in the background on your mobile device. If the Mobile device has been left at home, has no signal or the battery is flat the Global Telemetrics Control Centre will contact you or any approved contacts on your account to confirm the status of your vehicle.

Waterproof Device
All SmarTrack devices are water and dustproof and are tested to IP rating 67.
In-House Monitoring
24/7 Secure Control Centre allowing the device to be fully monitored throughout the UK and Europe and the fastest response to any alerts.
Movement Alerts
If your vehicle is moved without the ignition being used, the Secure Control Centre will contact you to confirm the vehicle’s safety.
Battery & Anti-Tamper Monitoring
All SmarTrack tracking devices have their own in-built battery backup. Which is activated if the vehicle battery is disconnected or the main power supply to the tracking device is removed. If the battery on the vehicle is disconnected, this will trigger an alert through the Global Telemetrics Secure Control Centre.
Repatriation Network
As well as working with all local and national police forces, Global Telemetrics use independent repatriation investigators around the world to help recover vehicles. These teams have extensive local knowledge and can assist in the recovery of our customers’ vehicles.
